Volunteers come out in force

What’s the best way to start your day of cleaning, fixing and painting a community center?

If you are employees from Aramark, a major food services company in the region, you start with some exercises in Veterans Memorial Park and then cap it with a pep talk before putting on the gloves and going to work.

That was the scene two weeks ago as volunteers from the company prepared to give People Community Services’ building a makeover.

After the morning exercises, the over 100 volunteers split into groups. A library for kids was also created.

Aramark employees and others also donated over 3,000 books.
