LEADSAFE Wayne County is offering a free HUD-funded program for Highland Park and Hamtramck residents or property owners. This program offers free information, free home testing for lead-based paint and free hazard repair to homeowners or tenants who qualify.
To be eligible for the program you must meet these requirements:
The home or rental property was built before 1978
The home or rental property is in Highland or Hamtramck
A child in the home has been diagnosed with lead poisoning
There are young children or pregnant women present.
