Uninsured? … A lot of folks have lost their healthcare coverage in the ongoing wave of layoffs rocking this region. The interfaith group MOSES wants to talk to you about coping without healthcare.  If you’d like to participate, call Ponsella Hardaway AT (313) 962-5290, extension15.

Campau near Danforth.

Inducted … Longtime Citizen readers John and Gloria Merenda dropped us a note last week announcing that their son, Steven, was recently inducted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia. And Steven wasn’t the only one making news Down Under. His wife, Elizabeth, was accepted into the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics. She is a medical doctor working and training in anaesthetics at the Canberra Hospital.  The busy couple married last year and live in Canberra, Australia.
