- The recent arrest of Hamtramck Corinthian Church minister, Rev. Wayne Little, has
added to the growing concerns in the community about police discriminatory procedure and insensitivity. The Hamtramck NAACP feels a need to creating a Citizens Review Board to oversee issues on public safety. About 140 community people came to the rally. The NAACP is offering solutions to help create better relations i.e., 1) Form a citizen¹s review board 2) Form a citizen¹s volunteer police force 3) Train and hire from the community 4) Initiate stronger sensitivity training 5) Stop $60,000 per month ticket quota 6) Agree on a timetable for these requests.
